My boat is registered in DE, and I purchased a DE saltwater fishing license covering it. I have been fishing in and out of IRI. If I make a trip out of OC MD, do I need to acquire a saltwater license in Maryland?

TrunctJT,

I don't believe @ this time you need a MD Saltwater license to fish MD Atlantic coast and coastal bays.

I have fished offshore and tagged tuna when returning to Ocean city. Been checked by marine police and have never bought a md license

Cause there is not one to be bought in md for the atlantic or back bays. You only need it for the chessy

Thank you all for your input- you guys are great. Reading the MD regulations, I was uncertain what they meant by Tidal Waters.
I am heading out on Tuesday morning and will double check with the folks at Ake's, but I believe you are correct that a license (equivalent to DE's saltwater license)is not required. Anyone want to bet how long that will last!

Hope to have some stories and pictures to post on Tuesday night. Wish me luck.
