My dad and I went to lightship buoy hoping to catching a mahi. instead we found a bunch of triggers and this little guy. I think its a baby amberjack.
When he came out of the water he was bright silver and the bar over his eye was really prodominant. his mouth was also toothless and when open it was big for a fish that size.
All Fishermen are born honest, We just get over it!

It is a banded rudder fish. They show up there about this time every year. They are in the jack family |

i thought so ive never seen one and with he eye markings a member of the amberjack is the only thing i could think of
