I caught a 5ft shark last night at bouy 20 in irb with a small blue tag on its fin the letters were red but we could not read what it said does anyone know what type of shark this could have been and what's up with the tag? |

KLB1980, I emailed the local folks monitoring Sharks and got this reply from Craig Shirey, Manager of Fisheries from DNREC.

Thanks for the info I'm pretty sure it was a sandbar shark it took a bite out of my dogbox cushion but we released him on his merry way. |
