Hi folks -- I'm new to fishing in the Del. Bay and not yet ready to explore the ocean. Since I'll be launching out of Lewes do you have any tips for fishing the outer wall. Is anything being caught there by casting surface plugs in the evening or early morning?

I'm not hearing much about stripers being caught in the Bay. Should I rig for something else?

I would appreciate any suggestions

The outer wall should be holding tog although I'm personally opposed to targetting them this time of year. There are probably triggers and a few sheepshead as well. Striper fishing is generally better in the cooler months although I'm sure there are a few strays lingering. What type of boat do you have? It would be easier to offer suggestions if we know what your boat is capable of.

we had zero croaker action at site 8 sunday?? but we never broke out the FBBW either

if you are targeting croaker make sure you have bloodworms.... because they were not interested in the other typical offerings

Thanks folks for the suggestions -- As for my boat it's a 20' Trophy named "AT LAST!" if you see me out there give me a shout on CH9

How about the Hay Stacks -- anything happening there or in the rip at the outer wall.

I was out a few weeks ago and on the north side of the outer wall something at least 4' long looking like a barracuda jumped straight into the air, tail out of the water and it had a fish in it's mouth. Any idea what it might have been?

Thanks again for the suggestions -- I think there will be a long learning curve to fishing here
