Just wondering why no one fishes out in the bay at night. I m down every weekend and am out on the water at night but never see any other boats fishing. We have had good luck with 3-5ft brown sharks chumming mackrel around buoy 20. Its really fun! Where I live on the susquehanna river in pa everybody night fishes just wanted to know why no night fishing scene from boats in the bay

There are usually a few people out there at night. Even old guys like me do it on occasion.

Fish all day, drink all night..that about sums it up. :-)

We do troll for blues and fish the IRI area at night sometimes for stripers/blues depending on the tides. I've never really flounder fished during the night. If you don't know the bay VERY well your more then likely to run aground at night also.

For the same reason I don't fish the IRB during the day anymore (by boat).....too busy figuring out the DeBay & ChesBay. Fished, clammed and crabbed both the IRB & RB too many years ago to remember. Just don't have the same access I did back then.

Walt,If you fish more than 4 hrs do you need to seek help

I used to wade fish some of the back waters at nite, but the more I thought of those bull sharks, the less appealing it became.

Nope, never did that BB, Although a friend of mine thought nothing of jumping in the ocean 60+ miles offshore to take a Joy bath! Nope, never did that either.

I've "kicked" some sizeable swimming things while walking in the water. Sure hope that's not what I am coming into contact with.

I was out last Tuesday night with one other boat. Only caught a small croaker on gulp bloodworm, which was the story for most of the week.
