This weekend is a good time to dial in on tidal water channel cat fishing with double hook up happy hillbilly shitfaces on a closest to the Earth full moon flood tide. Fish incoming water tributaries from Delaware bay with and old school top and bottom Rig,
blood high...market shrimp low. Y'all will definitely be yelling "fish on" and might get lucky with a lady spawning on her trip heading up or down the big River.

I know it is a drive, but up here in Ceciltucky, it is hard to fish the Susquehanna river without catching an abundance of channel cat. For years I have considered them a junk fish and returned them to the water. The only catfish I have ever ate were ones raised in fresh water ponds when I traveled down south, until this week. I work with a gal who told me I didn't know what I was missing throwing those cats back. Said all I had to do was cut out the dark section of meat and I would have a meal fit for the Clampets. Last Tuesday I threw the tin can in the water and headed out. Caught one 15" striped bass which I returned and kept 2 nice cats. As I cleaned them I noticed a dark yellow vein of meat going across each filet at the top. Cut that out, threw on some breading, and in the deep fry they went. The wife and I were amazed, it was actually some good eating. Changed my whole perception. If you are willing to make the trip you could fill the cooler in less than a day on the water.
I would take a close read of the fish consumption advisories before I ate any catfish

Susquehanna River:above Conowingo Dam below Conowingo Dam, one every other month.Well, looks like no more till July, almost choked on my cigarette when I read it could be hazardous to my health.
Good thing the Suskey avoids Scranton and Harrisburg, cause I bet those cities pollute a little?

All toxins get filtered out at the Nuke plant in Peachbottom according to the Vice President.
Man, the things you miss when you slide the tin can into the water thru the back woods.

P.M. sent Redneck. Don't worry about the toxins LOL. They just add to the flavor.
know all about Cecil county, i graduated High school from northeast and my folks still live there, catching cats at the damn is all most like shooting fish in a barrel, and there are more cats on the flats than stripers, and over toward rouges harbor the big cats suck down eels like they was raman noodles! but the drive is just a little hard on the wallet so its a once a month trip for me right now, was hoping to find some where a little more freindly to the gas tank here in sussex
